Why CE Level 2 is better!
To attain CE Level 2, EN1621-1, armour must transmit an average of no more than 20kN of energy when impacted with 50 joules (around 5kg dropped from 1 metre height) whilst CE Level 1 must transmit no more than 35kN of energy.
Simply put the lower the amount of transmitted energy the better the protection provided!
Ergonomically designed for riding the Grid Knee Protectors feature a highly abrasion resistant Dyneema® skid guard, twin adjustable retaining straps, an abrasion resistant outer with mesh windows for added breathability, anti-bunch scalloped rear recess and CE Level 2 approved armour.
Impact protection is provided by the removable, highly breathable and flexible NeT armour which at just 9mm is the thinnest CE Level 2 armour available.
Pre-formed for added comfort the NeT armour has RPT (Repeat Performance Technology) ensuring continued and consistent protection even after multiple impacts.
